400 Miles of CURVES!!!

Today we focused on Highway 14 and Poudre Canyon Highway.  Heading up the Peak to Peak Highway, we decided to make a run through Glen Haven because Devils Gulch Road is just delicious, and then over on Stove Prairie Road, which was another delight!  The curves just keep on comin'!  A total dream come true.  I could ride this route everyday.  Didn't get too many pictures along the route...we were too busy soaking up the good ride!
A morning stop at one of the roadside picnic areas along Devils Gulch Road.

OH look!  Another rare glimpse at the wild Kawasakis... don't get too close!...

Ooooo white water rafters!

Somewhere along Poudre Canyon Road...

Not knowing the road, we ended going almost all the way to Walden before finding a place to have some lunch (Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!).  Had we realized the road straightened out so much, we would have grabbed one of the state picnic areas closer-in to the mountains.  We finally pulled in at the Arapaho Wildlife Viewing Area, which turned out to be perfectly splendid, in the shallow bowl of a valley, surrounded by mountains, and watching the rain in the distance...

Ahhh, PB&J, Doritos, Gatorade, and, of course, Ibuprofen:

We headed back the way we came to savor the tasty curves again.  Divine, actually!  We did make one wrong turn (or rather, we did NOT turn when we were supposed to!) on Stove Prairie and ended up by the Horsetooth Resevoir.  Ooops!  Even wrong turns in Colorado offer enjoyment!!!

Finally back at the camp, what a great night for a fire:
